Welcome May! This morning we kicked things off with a desk change. Trying something new, students are now in rows. This morning we learned about KINGDOMS. I was blown away by the connections students were making and how quickly they identified 4 of the 5 kingdoms! Kingdoms are the most general grouping of living things. Ask your student what Kingdom we fit in and what other surprising things are in the same groups! Students are busy creating their own living thing that is adapted to living in a specific extreme environment.
In PE we played inside outside dodgeball. Ask students how we made teams. It was very interesting watching uneven teams having a very even game. In the afternoon students watched An Inconvenient Truth with Mr. Lapointe's class.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Connected to our extreme environments discussions today we watched this video on a 'man made' extreme environment. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is two times the size of BC! | |
